"The Buckingham Browne & Nichols College Counseling Office contracted Miles In Heels Productions to run its curriculum, “Getting Past Hello!”™ in August 2014. Our goal was to expose students to some basic ideas that professional adults find commonplace in hopes that they might best present themselves to college admissions officers, employers, or internship evaluators. What we got, however, was so much more.
It was apparent right from the start that Kim Miles and her collaborative partner, Victoria Nessen-Kohlasch, would be alive, engaging, and energetic – quite a feat when working with high school students in the summertime. Without giving away the punch line of their first activity, Kim and Victoria made use of every second of interaction to actively teach the students how best to present themselves.
